# Governance Parameters

AETHRA’s governance framework empowers token holders to shape the platform’s evolution from feature priorities to protocol-level decisions.

***

## vAETHRA Governance Token

* **Target Launch Window** – TBD (following the MVP rollout)
* **Mechanism** – AETHRA holders will be able to lock their tokens to receive **vAETHRA**, a non-transferable token used exclusively for governance voting.

vAETHRA cannot be transferred or sold and represents voting weight within the protocol.

***

## Voting Mechanics

* **Quorum Requirement** – A minimum of **15% of total vAETHRA supply** must participate in a vote for it to be valid
* **Approval Threshold** – A proposal passes with **≥ 66% “Yes” votes** among votes cast

These thresholds ensure broad consensus while enabling decisive action.

***

{% hint style="info" %}
Locked vAETHRA remains non-transferable and subject to a vesting schedule once governance begins.\
All proposals, results, and governance updates will be published in the [Changelog](/appendices/changelog-and-whats-new.md).
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.aethra.work/tokenomics-and-governance/governance-parameters.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
